The Blue and Blacks won that encounter comfortably and with S4C’s television cameras present this week, Bedwas will be looking to build on a deserved victory over Neath last weekend.

“We showed in patches last week what we are capable of,” said Bedwas head coach Steve Law.

“We perhaps should have won by a more convincing margin but overall we got the reaction I was looking for.

“Llanelli are a good side but I am confident we can find a way past them. The boys are very excited to be playing on live television and are keen to showcase their skills to the viewers.”

In the interests of continuity, Bedwas make few changes to the side which triumphed at The Gnoll.

Matthew Pewtner comes in for Dan Dearden at centre, the latter dropping to the bench while up front, there are two changes to the front row. There are recalls for Wales Under 20 hooker Elliot Dee and Aaron Coundley at loose head prop.

Llanelli make two changes to the starting XV from last Saturday’s win against Bridgend Ravens. In come forwards Darran Harris and Daniel Thomas.

On the bench, newly signed Gareth Havard and in form Stuart Leach are joined Shaun Hopkins and Ed Price, the latter returning from a long term knee injury.

Covering the back line are half backs Scott Maynard and Nic Damjanovic with Gareth Walters offering alternative firepower out wide.
