Carmarthen Quins are expected to pose a stern test and Steve Law will be hoping his team will not have lost any momentum. However, injuries and unavailability of some of the Dragons permit players see Bedwas field a side that only contains five players who started against Llanelli.

Indeed up front sees only one survivor that started the previous game – Phill Rees in the second row. Richard Wilkes takes over the captaincy.

The backs see only Richard Powell, Matthew Pewtner, Scott Williams and Lewis Hudd looking to carry on where they left off last time out.

Table topping Quins will pose a major threat to the home side’s defence but it’s the Carmarthen defence which has been a feature this season. They have conceded fewer tries (5) than any other team so B edwas will have to find the key to unlock the door.

Bedwas: 15 Harley Thomson, 14 Lewis Hudd, 13 Matthew Pewtner, 12 Scott Williams, 11 Dan Dearden, 10 Richard Powell, 9 Tom Edwards, 1 Ian George, 2 Richard Wilkes ©, 3 Matthew Pettit, 4 Phill Rees, 5 Luke Connolly, 6 Aaron Harris, 7 James Sawyer, 8 Dan Crimmins.

Replacements: 16 Joe Mills, 17 Dan Preece, 18 Rhys Hutcherson, 19 Joseph Davies, 20 Gus Davies, 21 Rhys Downes, 22 Stuart Thomas, 23 Elliot Jones
