The Cardiff Blues second-row enjoyed one of his finest performances in the red of Wales in the slender defeat to South Africa last week.
And he is looking forward to facing Los Pumas as Wales bid to kick-start their Dove Men Series with a first autumn win since 2009.
“I was happy with the way I played – I feel I’m back to where I was before. I just want to keep it going,” said Davies.
“I’m expecting it to be pretty similar to what we had off South Africa. Argentina are a big, physical team who are going to challenge us at set-pieces.
“It’s going to be a battle up front as it is every game. That’s their strength. We’re trying to negate their strengths and come out on top.
“The scrum, line-out, kick and chase are going to be big things because they are going to kick the ball a lot. Whoever gets the better of that is going to win the game. It’s not going to be easy.
“Argentina pride themselves on their scrum and it’s something we’ve worked on this week.”
Wales have not won in the autumn since overcoming the South Americans four years ago but Davies remains confident.
“It’s very important we cross that line and get that win,” added Davies.
“We could have won the game last weekend after battling back to 17-15 but it wasn’t to be. We’re training hard and looking for a big performance. Do that and hopefull the win will come.
“We’ve got to be confident. We’re at our house – they’re coming to our patch.”
