The Rhondda Cynon Taf side, currently competing in SWALEC League Three South East, received funding from Amgen to boost their new development and have been a good example of a Welsh Rugby Union club using their expertise to attract funding and benefit the club as a result.
Their latest development involves two new changing rooms, a referee’s room, a disabled toilet and a disabled spectator area.
In the past, the club have also utilised WRU funding to develop new 3G pitches. They are also looking to add floodlighting to their first XV pitch in the near future.
Joining President Dennis Gethin at the official opening was WRU Board Member Ray Wilton, Nicola Smith from the WRU Club Operation’s team and members of Tylerstown RFC including Secretary Lionel Langford, President Terry Williams, Trustee Sir Wyn Williams and Project co-ordinator – Paul Hefford.
