Sevens training sessions on offer

Wales Women’s head coach Rhys Edwards and WRU Women’s Sevens coach Richie Pugh have announced two open training sessions for any potential players wishing to play the abbreviated form of the game.

The training sessions will consist of Sevens specific skills and conditioning where ALL players are invited to attend – even if you have no Sevens experience or not.

The sessions will give players an opportunity to understand what the game is about. The WRU would like to stress that these two evenings are not ‘trials’ however if any player shows they have the talent required to represent Wales at Sevens they may be invited back to train with the squad.

The sessions are aimed at Senior Women’s players aged 18 on or after the 1st September 1994 (by the time of the session).

Session 1
Date: Wednesday 16th April
Time: 1900 START
Venue: WRU Outdoor 3G Pitch (please note there is no access to the NCE facilities meet straight out on 3G pitch)

Session 2
Date: Wednesday 23rd April
Time: 1900 START
Venue: WRU Outdoor 3G Pitch (please note there is no access to the NCE facilities meet straight out on 3G pitch).

Any players interested in attending need to complete the attached form (below) and send it back to Sarah Samuel ssamuel@wru.co.uk NO later than Monday 14th April 1700.
