It is the first time that the four Welsh regions have competed in the series, with the two teams who finish top of the pile after an evening of fast-moving sevens action going through to the final at Twickenham Stoop on Friday, August 8.
The Blues will be led by Richard Smith who was a regular for Wales on the World Sevens Series circuit before taking up a regional contract at the Arms Park.
Owen Jenkins, Geraint Walsh, Dan Fish and Tomos Williams are also among the squad who have tasted Sevens rugby at the highest level while back row Ben Roach features after impressing for Wales Under 20 in the Junior World Championships in New Zealand this summer.
Gafyn Cooper, Team Manager for Blues, said: “We’ve selected an exciting squad of talented young players, many of whom have Wales Sevens international experience previously.
“The Premiership Rugby 7s Series will give our fans the chance to see many of the young stars in our set-up who are eager to shine.”
The Ospreys will be led by Ross Jones who played for Wales last season in the World Series while the Scarlets will have speedster Kristian Phillips at the helm who along with Lee Rees and Sion Bennett, have all played for Wales.
The Dragons will have established Sevens players Sam Cross and Rhys Jones in their squad. Both will be out to mark their mark after narrowly missing out on Commonwealth Games selection.
