Brothers Darren and Rhys Humphries both crossed in the nine try romp with 14 points coming from the boot of Josh Prosser. Howell Davies got an early score for the hosts but it was not enough to stop the Bargoed juggernaut from rolling on.

Steve Lewis kicked Tata Steel to their fourth win in five as they overcame Bridgend Athletic 30-17 at Groes Field. Jordan Crealock, Gareth Edwards and Robin Locke all crossed to put Tata in command before they flexed their muscles up front and claimed a decisive penalty try.

Pontypool continued their impressive start by claiming a bonus-point win away at Glynneath.

A first-half try from David Jones had the hosts within seven points at the break, but Pooler had too much. Full-back Josh Hurley was the star of the show, kicking off the scoring before Aaron Quick, Josh Guy and Dan Haile completed the five-point victory.

Swansea are just one point behind Bargoed at the summit after they made it five from five against Championship strugglers Newbridge. John Fox and Tom Sloane claimed braces as the All Whites gave the St. Helens faithful their moneys’ worth by scoring nine tries on the day.

Narbeth upset the odds to scrape past RGC 1404. Steffan Phillips, Stuart Worrall and Lico Sertaro scored to overhaul the North Walians’ slender half-time advantage.

Cardiff Met romped to an unexpected 45-14 triumph over Merthyr. The students built on their 24-point half-time advantage with two tries from Connor Nicholls. Owen Thomas added 15 points to put Cardiff Met 10 points off the top.

Llanharan outscored Blackwood but ill-discipline cost them as Scott Turner hit six penalties to clinch a 35-29 triumph. Llanharan were awarded two penalty tries but Turner’s 20 point personal tally was enough to see Blackwood home.
