The Scarlets tighthead Lee, who started all four of the autumn internationals, has been struggling with a nerve problem in his neck.
The 22-year-old saw a specialist in London on Monday and will miss his region’s European Champions Cup clashes against Leicester and Toulon. But the Scarlets expect Lee to be available to face Stuart Lancaster’s men at the Millennium Stadium on February 6.
Head coach Wayne Pivac said: “He will be available for Welsh duties – that’s the latest diagnosis. We will not see him for the Toulon game and we don’t expect to see him at the Scarlets until after the Six Nations.”
Full-back Williams, the form back in Wales, is recovering from a shoulder injury and should be ready for the west Wales side’s meeting with Toulon a week on Saturday. But hooker Ken Owens will miss the start of the Six Nations as he struggles to recover from the neck surgery he underwent in October.
The 28-year-old is pencilled in to return to action against Connacht on February 15, the same weekend as Wales face Scotland in their second game of the Championship.
On Owens, he said: “He is one test away from a series of tests which have been done. The neck is stronger than it was pre-injury which is great. The surgeon is happy with his part. It’s now the nerve damage which affects the muscle on the outside of the arm.
“We are just concerned if he goes out and he plays at the moment it’s going to put undue stress on the arm and shoulder. What we don’t want is for him to have a shoulder or tricep injury which can put him out for a long time. He has done so much work and is so close. It’s a matter of being sensible. Our medical team is in contact with the WRU and sharing information so everyone is across everything.”
