Bridgend have been on a good run of form, with victories over Pontypridd, Newport, Cardiff and Llanharan along with a narrow defeat at Llandovery in their last five games. This run of form has seen them move away from the bottom of the league and into the last eight of the Swalec Cup, where they have been drawn against Championship side Merthyr later next month.

The sides have already met twice this season – with one win each. In the most recent encounter, Bridgend came away with an impressive win at the Talbot Athletic Ground by 21-3. Adam Williams late try rounded off a fantastic team effort and a massive four points in the bottom of the table battle.

In the hope for more of the same, Paul Young and Mike Hook stick with the same group of players which has produced good form of late. Owen Howe moves to the wing with Liam Jones coming in for his first start at full back. Matthew Phillips also comes back into the side, with Andrew Waite moving back to the more familiar position of blindside flanker. Zac O’Driscoll and Ryan Evans return from injury to take their places on the substitute’s bench.

Bridgend: Liam Jones, Owen Howe, Chris Lewis, Adam Williams, Tom O’Flaherty, James Dixon, Chris Williams; Gary Carpenter, Ashleigh James (c), Cai Lewis, Henri Williams, Ben Jones, Andrew Waite, Adam O’Driscoll & Matthew Phillips.
Replacements: Iestyn Merriman, Mitchell Auger, Jon Thomas, Ashton Evans, Zac O’Driscoll, Derrick Tredray, Steve Winn & Ryan Evans.
