The Ravens make the trip west still licking their wounds after a 8-64 Boxing Day humbling at home against Llanelli.
It was a hugely disappointing day for Bridgend, who have now gone four league games without victory. Llanelli stretched ahead of Bridgend in the league standings with that thumping win on Saturday, now the Ravens are three points behind Carmarthen Quins and six behind Cardiff, so an assault on a climb up the league standings for this young Bridgend side is certainly not out of the question.
The Drovers welcome the Ravens having disposed of Carmarthen Quins on Bank Holiday Monday by 16-6 at Church Bank. That win lifted them up to fourth in the Principality Premiership as they continue to impress in the upper echelons of the table.
They have won nine of their 13 games, losing four. They are just a point behind leaders Pontypridd, and with last seasons champions suffering a blip in form, Llandovery will sense an opportunity to put pressure on the Valley side, with the potential of going top of the table.
Llandovery have won four of the previous five meetings between the sides – including a 14-40 win earlier in the campaign at the Bridgend Ford Brewery Field. Bridgend tries were scored by Ifreiemi Boladau and Scott Hicks that day, with Ryan Evans adding a conversion in injury time.
