Second-placed Penallta kept up the lead on table-topping Ynysybwl with a scrappy 12-5 win over Rhydyfelin at Caerphilly Road. Elsewhere in the division, Blackwood were leading Risca 7-6 before persistent rain led to an abandonment, while the games at Blaenavon, Nelson and Nantyglo all fell victim to the weather.

There were only three game in Division One East Central, as second-placed St Joseph’s missed the chance to ramp up the pressure on league leaders The Wanderers. They were narrowly edged out 13-12 by mid-table Rumney at Blackweir. Rumney’s Shane Young got the only try of the match to secure victory for the visitors, who moved up to fifth.

In Division 1 North, no fixtures were possible due to wet weather, which means Bethesda, Pwllheli, Llangefni and Mold all missed the chance to win. Nant Conwy remain the league’s runaway leaders.

Loughor’s clash with top of the league Dunvant was postponed in Division One West, but Gorseinon beat both the weather and Gowerton in a thrilling 13-11 victory.  The teams placed sixth and seventh in the league battled out a tight contest at the Athletic Ground.

Gareth King got the hosts’ try, but it was Callum Steele’s score for Gorseinon that clinched the win. Crymuch versus Tenby United and Llangennech’s clash with Waunarlwydd were both postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
In Division 1 West Central, Tondu beat Bonymaen 18-13 and Builth Wells lost 8-7 at Ystalyfera. There were also victories for Trebanos and Seven Sisters, while the top two teams – Skewen and Ammanford had their matches halted by the rain.
