Last season the two men were in Ravens colours as they lifted the trophy at the Millennium Stadium, with Howe providing 14 points to a notable 19-15 win over Pontypridd. Now they have transferred into Keys’ colours and will be hoping for another cup run.
Ethan Davies is restored to full back for Keys having returned for Down Under with the Wales Sevens squad and the winners of the game will be guaranteed a quarter-final clash at home against either Neath or Cardiff Met.
With four wins in the last five games between the two teams, along with an 18-0 success earlier this season, Keys will start as slight favourites, but Bridgend won’t want to give up their title without a major fight.
There are also two games in the SSE Swalec Plate and Bowl this weekend. Rhiwbina host Ystrad Rhondda in the Plate on Saturday and Penygraig entertain Abercarn in the Bowl.
