Former captain Jevon Groves returns to the squad while Aberavon’s Morgan Williams is handed a debut with Nicky Griffiths returning to action after a lengthy lay-off due to injury.

Ben Roach, Ethan Davies and Chris Knight are the players who make way for the incoming trio.

“These are the most changes we have made in our squad for four tournaments therefore it offers opportunity to players coming in after long absences out,” said Williams.

“It’s exciting to include Morgan Williams as he has worked hard in our camps all year but has been held back with some injuries. It’s his first cap and he has the attributes to do well for us.

“As a group we have shown steps of progression, and hopefully we can continue this trend in Singapore this weekend where we will face Australia, Argentina and Japan in Pool D.”
