Fans from all over the world made the journey to Cardiff when the city played host to the biggest ever Rugby World Cup at the start of the current season. A total of 564,524 rugby fans flocked to Wales’ national stadium across eight matches, including Wales’ triumph over Fiji and an emphatic 54-9 win over Uruguay in the first-ever match between the two sides.
In celebration of an exciting start to the season at what is now called Principality Stadium, Clubs across Wales are invited to apply for a unique grant offering from the Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust which receives a levy from tickets sales at the iconic rugby venue.
In the spirit of leaving a legacy for sports lovers across Wales, the MSCT has advised that applications must be for capital or equipment as part of a ‘sports project’. Further details can be found here: http://www.millenniumstadiumtrust.org.uk
