He has suffered a major blow with Sam Cross ruled out through injury but is fortunate to be able to bring back someone of Owen Jenkins experience and ability as a replacement. Rhodri Williams also returns to action while Scarlets speedster Steff Evans will make his debut on the circuit.
“It’s a huge blow to lose Sam, but he is not fully fit and a number of considerations have had to be taken,” explained Williams.
“He has developed into one of the top forwards on the World Series and his current position on top of the tackle count chart is a huge credit to him.
“Everyone is aware of the limited training the majority of our thin squad was allowed to do in the build up to Paris, and hopefully, the tournament last week can be used as a stepping stone for this week.
“As a group, we know areas that were unacceptable last week and we are hoping to right those wrongs this weekend at Twickenham,” he added.
Wales are in the same pool as England, Australia and Fiji who only have to reach the Cup quarter-finals to wrap up the World Series and claim back-to-back titles.
They have already won three of the nine World Series rounds to date and also boast two runners-up finishes and two third placings.
