The All Whites have already accounted for Dunvant (38-5) and Broadstreet (55-5) in their opening encounters this month and will return to Dunvant’s Broadacre ground to host English National League Division 2 South side Redruth on Saturday (4.00pm kick-off).
The newly promoted side will then travel to Morriston RFC on Wednesday, 24 August to play Llanelli before heading to the BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park for the Foster’s National Sevens on 28 August. They will also meet Swansea Cricket Club in a T2- match at Sat Helen’s on Sunday.
“We are mixing it up in training ahead of the season and we got off to a good start with the win over Dunvant. It was nice for the players to put some of their hard work in training into practice,” said Swansea team manager Paul Whapham.
The cub’s latest signing for the new season is 19-year-old outside half Rory Garrett. The Swansea University Sports Science student, who played in the Welsh Varsity Match last season, learned his rugby at Abingdon Boys School and was selected for both the South West Independent Schools, and London and South West rugby squads.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to take the next step in my rugby career and I’m really looking forward to playing at Premiership level. This season is an exciting time to be joining Swansea and it’ll be great to experience the match day atmosphere at the famous St Helen’s ground,” said Garrett.
