Something has to give as the Championship front-runners put their unbeaten records on the line in round six. Pooler have edged ahead of the West Walians after a comprehensive 69-17 defeat of Dunvant while Tata edged Skewen out 17-12. Pooler have made just one change from he side who beat Dunvant, with Marc Thorley coming in for Dan Robinson.

Skewen and Narberth are ready to pounce if there are any slip-ups at the top of the table as the pair clash at Tennant Park. The Otters have only been beaten by front-runners Pontypool, while Skewen suffered their second defeat of the season to high-flying Tata Steel last week.

At the other end of the table Glamorgan Wanderers are still searching for their first win of the season. They face Beddau, who have bounced back from an inconsistent start with a pair of crucial victories.

James Loxton reverts to full-back for the Wands in a straight swap with Matt Arnold who moves to the wing. Alex Edwards returns at outside-centre in a new look centre partnership. Up front Owain Thomas and Michael Owen return to the side while Steff Simpson gets a start in the front row with the returning Joe Russell.

Team manager Haval Ibrahim said: “There’s no panic at this stage. There is plenty of talent in the squad we just need that first win and the confidence level will soar”

Cardiff Met are out to get back to winning ways as they travel to Newbridge, who have only won once this season. Dunvant were the latest victims of Pontypool last week, but will be hoping to bounce back against Bedlinog. Glynneath also host Newcastle Emlyn on Saturday afternoon.
