NATIONAL BOWL: Pembroke battle back to win

Pembroke showed their battling spirit to hit back from a 12 point interval deficit to overcome Laugharne 32-22 in a thrilling WRU National Bowl round four clash.

The visitors finally edged their way into the last 16 by outscoring their hosts by five tries to four. John Pullman, Tom Lewis, Luke Hartland, Tom Smith and Tom Golley were the Pembroke try scorers with Sam Darling adding two conversions to complete the fightback.

Also through after a weather ravaged weekend are Cardiff University, who turned on the style and piled on the points in a 38-13 home win over Shotton Steel, and Penygraig, who topped the half-century in their 54-6 home win over St Julian’s HSOB. Porthcawl also ran up a big score at home as they beat Trimsaran 52-9.
