It was their second successive triumph of the season, following their big home win over RGC 1404, and meant they got one over on the North having played in a 24-24 draw in August. They scored three tries as they expanded their 15-0 lead into a 20 point triumph in the end.
Outside half Jacob Beetham opened the scoring with a penalty and then converted a try by wing Jay Jones. Opposite wing Joe Patterson added a second try before the break and lock Teddy Williams completed the scoring with the third try after the break.
The Dragons will get their chance at revenge over table-topping Scarlets at Ystrad Mynach tonight (Wednesday, 7.15pm kick-off) as they attempt to close the six point gap on the unbeaten leaders. The Scarlets have won five out of five to date, and picked up a bonus point in each victory, to set the standard this season.
They went down 38-19 at Parc Y Scarlets in August, but have since won three in a row against RGC 1404 (59-12), Blues South (36-5) and the Ospreys (39-17). The Scarlets are enjoying their best season in the competition and will be virtually guaranteed to top the table if they make it six bonus point wins in a row.
The Ospreys head to North Wales to meet RGC 1404. They beat the Gogs 66-5 on the opening day of the tournament.
