The Scarlets outscored their opponents by six tries to two, with Jodie Evans converting four of the Scarlets tries.
There was little to choose between the two sides in the first half, the visitors getting off to the perfect start on 10mins when scrum half Ffion Lewis broke away from an attacking scrum and fed winger Brittony Price, who then outstripped the cover defence to score wide out.
After a period of intense pressure, the Dragons hit back after an attempted clearance kick was charged down allowing Sarah Harper to pounce on the loose ball to score.
Some dynamic interplay between forwards and backs saw the Scarlets drive deep into the home 22. After a quick ruck the ball found its way to No 8 Shona Powell Hughes, who cut a great angle through the defence and powered her way under the posts. Evans adding the extras.
The visitors made several changes at half time, but any thought that this inclusion of several new faces would undermine the performance of the Scarlets were soon diminished when centre Katie Thicker showed a great turn of pace and some elusive running to tear through the home defence and score under the posts, once again Evans converted the try.
Straight from the kick off the Scarlets were at it again. The ball was gathered and immediately spread wide where replacement full back Lisa Neumann showed incredible power and pace to leave a swathe of Dragons players in her wake and score her first ever try for the Scarlets and in the process secure the bonus point.
A sharp snipe by impressive scrum half Ffion Lewis saw her breach the line and set off on a meandering run to the line and record an outstanding individual try and the ever-reliable Jodie Evans added the conversion.
The sixth and final score for the visitors came after a typically powerful carry by the imperious veteran prop Catrin Edwards set up a quick ruck, some slick handling by the backs released centre Angharad de Smet who demonstrated raw power and pace to crash over near the posts. Evans once again adding the conversion.
To their credit the home team never gave in and were duly rewarded when Eve Jones crossed the whitewash. Sarah Harper converting a well-deserved try.
In the earlier encounter, the Scarlets under 18s maintained their unbeaten record with a well-earned 25-0 victory over an excellent young Dragons outfit to set up a title deciding encounter with East Wales rivals, Cardiff Blues on March 3rd.
The visiting teams bonus point victory came courtesy of tries from wing Sian Davies, No 8 Alex Callender, scrum half Lucy Packer, lock forward Molly James and winger Celyn Lazenby.
It proved a fruitful day for Cardiff Blues up north, with the senior women edging out RGC 8-10 while the U18s kept the hosts scoreless when recording a 42-0 victory.
