Warren Gatland’s side will face England and Ireland three times each (twice home, once away) in the lead up to their opening Rugby World Cup clash against Georgia in Japan next year.
The extra meetings with England and Ireland occur in the summer – either side of Gatland naming his final RWC squad – but it’s tickets for the two home Six Nations clashes in the New Year which are prime Christmas present material.
Tickets have been priced at £40, £70, £95, £100 and £110 for both matches as Wales face England on Saturday 23rd February (16.45) and Ireland on Saturday 16th March (14.45) in Cardiff and public sale, for any tickets not sold to the members who pay for priority, is set for 10am on Thursday 13th December.
Six Nations tickets only ever reach public sale in small amounts and, due to the annual rotation of fixtures in the tournament (Wales only have two home games in the 2019 competition making tickets even rarer), the best way to access these matches is through WRU member clubs.
“Historically, home matches against England and Ireland in the Six Nations don’t reach public sale and, if they do, they sell-out quickly,” said a WRU spokesperson.
“As part of the WRU constitution member clubs are offered first refusal on all international rugby matches at Principality Stadium, outside of debenture holders and official partners.
“So our message is loud and clear, if you’re looking for Six Nations tickets this year, contact your local club now.
“The general public feeling that ‘Wales tickets are hard to come by’ all originates from these traditional six nations matches, which are steeped in history and always much anticipated.
“But the beauty of our fixture list this year is that Wales are playing three Six Nations sides in Cardiff outside of the tournament, this started with Scotland last month and culminates with England and then Ireland as part of Rugby World Cup preparation in the summer.”
The WRU has guaranteed its lowest price ticket for a Six Nations match at Principality Stadium will be frozen at £40 for at least the next two seasons, until 2020.

Supporters Club members receive priority access to tickets not purchased from club and debenture entitlement, ahead of any potential public sale. In the past, any remaining England tickets have been sold via a supporters’ club ballot as demand has outweighed supply.
