Beddau battled past Bridgend last weekend, while Pooler added Swansea to their list of Premiership scalps with another great performance at Pontypool Park. Carmarthen Quins will now head to Beddau, while Cardiff Met go to Pontypool.

The draw means at least two WRU National Championship sides will make it through to the quarter-finals. As well as the winners of the game between reigning champions Pontypool and the students of Cardiff Met, the Championship will also be represented by the winners of the game at The Gnoll between Neath and Cross Keys.

Cup holders Cardiff, who went to RGC last weekend and opened the defence of their title with a convincing 40-24 victory, will host Ebbw Vale at the Arms Park and Premiership champions Merthyr will host Championships side Bedwas in the other Round 2 games.

There are byes for Aberavon, Llandovery and Llanelli
