Brecon’s bid to become the first club to make it back-to-back wins in the Plate were given a boost when they drew a home game in Round 2. Having seen off 2014 finalists Rhiwbina 6-24 in last weekend’s opening weekend, they will receive another Division 1 East Central side in Ynysybwl.
Last season’s runners-up, Bonymaen, will also be at home against Tondu, while 2018 champions Brynmawr head to Risca. The 2016 winners, Bedlinog, have had their game against Abercwmboi called off due to the weather.
Three former winners of the National Bowl will be hoping to take another big step towards a return to the Principality Stadium. The 2017 champions Amman United will have home advantage over Abertysswg.
Abercarn, who are seeking to bridge a 10 year gap since their last visit to Principality Stadium, travel to Penygroes looking to repeat the 39-12 victgory they posted against Newport Saracens in the opening round.
The 2013 winners, Wattstown, who edged out Cardiff Medicals 17-12 in one of the games of the opening round, will head to Bryncoch to try to continue their run.
The reward for Fairwater for knocking out the 2014 winners, CR Cymry Caerdydd, is a home game against Rhyl & District.
