The 24-year-old flanker missed just one of Swansea’s 17 games in the Premiership and certainly made his presence felt on the pitch. He amassed a total of 196 tackles to be handsomely clear of his nearest challenger, Merthyr’s Jack Perkins who claimed 147 to just edge out Carmarthen Quins’ Lewys Millin for second place who finished the campaign on 146 tackles.
Bowden was the only contender inside the top 10 contenders to fall outside of a 90%-plus completion rate, but his teammates would probably argue when you’re making as many attempts as he is, they’ll allow him to slip off the occasional tackle.
Bowden’s teammate Jamie Williams boasted the highest completion rate with a 96% success rate from his 135 tackles with Llandovery’s Stuart Worrall next in line with a 95% success rate from his 126 tackles.
After a ding dong battle all season with Pontypridd second row Sean Moore, Cardiff’s Morgan Allen came out on top of the turnover rankings with 23 from his 15 appearances for the Blue & Blacks.
Moore finished the campaign with 21 turnovers from his 17 appearances to finish behind Allen with Newport’s Kyle Taylar in third position with 20 turnovers.
