Having been stuck on 99 appearances for the club when the WRU called time on the season due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 30-year-old lock will qualify for his club cap the next time he plays.
Born in Truro, Cornwall, Partridge is Welsh-qualified and made the Wales u20 squad in his younger days. He has now committed to a seventh season at Rodney Parade along with three other second rows.
Joe Bartlett, Elliot Ferriman and Andrew Mann have all pledged their future to the club for another season and will provide great stability in the front five for head coach Ty Morris. In front of them will be some pretty familiar props next season.
Morris has wasted no time in getting his regular front row men tied down for whenever the new Welsh Premiership campaign begins. Garin Harris, Louis Jones, Tom Piper, Dan Preece and Louis Smout have all singed on the dotted line for another year.
