The 58-8 triumph had head coach Steve Law purring a few weeks after reading the riot to his players for their league defeat at the Arms Park to Carmarthen Quin.
Alun Rees and Ellis Bevan both crossed twice and Theo Cabango, Ethan Lloyd, Nathan Hudd and Iwan Pyrs Jones also all got on the scoresheet.
“I thought we stuck at it excellently and did very well to get some momentum going as Ebbw Vale’s commitment in the contact area was very impressive,” said Law.
“We scored some great individual tries and when Ebbw Vale tired, we showed lots of pace and talent to finish them off in style.
“I was really pleased with our character and our determination to not let them score in the second-half. Our defence has improved a lot recently and we are starting to see the fundamentals of a very good team.”

The best of the west takes on the best of the east as the two WRU Premiership Cup group-stage winners, Llandovery and Newport, square off at Church Bank.
The Black & Ambers will be looking to make it three league wins from three as they aim to build upon last weekend’s quarter-final win over Bridgend. This will be Llandovery’s first match in over a month as they look to back up their successful season opener against RGC with a statement home win.
Elsewhere, RGC will be looking to bounce back from last week’s cup exit following their home defeat to Pontypridd with a win over Carmarthen Quins.
“As a team we need to look at taking our chances, as last week we worked our way into good areas but didn’t take advantage. At this level, you need to be clinical, and if you aren’t it will cost you,” said RGC skipper Afon Bagshaw.
“It’s another tough one, especially as it is at Carmarthen. We need to raise the performance levels if we are to get anything from the game.
“The good thing now is that games are coming around quickly so you can’t dwell on what has happened. We need to move on and be better,” added Bagshaw.
Both Llanelli and Bridgend Ravens are without a league win so far this season and they will go head-to-head at the Parc y Scarlets as they bid to put that right.
Also, Merthyr travel to St Helen’s to face Swansea. Both teams are in action for the first time in 2022 and Swansea will be hoping that the league treats them better than the cup after failing to make the last eight. The other game of the round sees Pontypridd take on Aberavon who will be looking to replicate their consistent cup form in the league.
