From the first whistle the hosts dominated the attack but a penalty against the Monkeys for holding on allowed Pembroke to clear. Keeping play locked in the Panthers half, good hands from Morriston kept the momentum in their favour.
Recycling the ball out wide, Naomi Williams found the space to race over for the opening try for the hosts to hand them an early lead.
Pembroke tried to answer back from the restart, but an attack was short lived with a knock-on handing possession back to Morriston. The Panthers kept digging in as they tried to make headway through the Monkeys defence and an eventual break in midfield looked to be the making of a try only for a knock on over the line to deny them a score on the board.
Taking play back up field, another quick passage of play out wide set Tia Williams up to find the space to go over for try number two.
Trying to make their mark on the game, the centre partnership for Pembroke linked up to make the break to keep Morriston on their toes, but a big tackle into touch kept the Panthers at bay.
Racing back up field for the attack a loose ball was nicely chipped through by the Monkeys but quick reflexes from the Panthers saw the visitors win the chase. Morriston applied the pressure, but Pembroke did well to keep hold of the ball to clear away from the line.
In a bid to have the final say of the opening half, Morriston, with the lineout in the Panthers 22 kept control of the ball and lovely interplay from the backs sent Chelsea Webber over for the try handing the hosts a healthy 15-0 lead at the break.
With momentum firmly in their favour going into the second half, Morriston’s Georgia Stevens crossed the line twice in a matter of minutes to keep the scoreboard ticking over.
Despite their efforts, Pembroke struggled to gain a foothold in the match allowing Morriston to capitalise. Sarah John followed in going over the whitewash in the second 40 to give Morriston a convincing victory.
Elsewhere in the West Wales National League, Haverfordwest soared to a 59-5 win at home to Porthcawl and Tumble and West Swansea Hawks battled it out in a 47-19 victory for the Tumble side.
In the Premiership Nelson squeezed home 24-25 at Deri while Pontyclun won 19-37 at Caernarfon while Llandaff won 7-45 at Caereinion OBRA to make it a miserable day for the home teams.
