Neath produced a superb second half comeback after trailing 20-12 at half-time against Narberth to win 33-23. George McDonald added two tries, Jonathan Rogers added two conversions, a penalty and a drop goal for Narberth but tries from Ryan Evans, Jacob Blackmore, James Roberts and Aled Brew sealed the game for the home side.
Ystrad Rhondda got their first win of the season with an excellent 24-8 win over Ystalyfera. Josh Congreve scored Ystalyfera’s try, and San Comley added a penalty.
Tries from Nathan Hughes, Garyn Davies and Mason Roderick inspired Ystrad’s comeback, Rhys Truelove added three conversions and a penalty to seal the victory.
Maesteg Quins also got their first win of the season, beating Glamorgan Wanderers 32-12. They scored four tries to pick up a bonus-point thanks to touchdowns from Nathan Ace, Kristian Jenkins, Lloyd Freeman and Nathan Smith.
Owen Howe converted three of the home tries and also kicked two penalties to bag 12 points. The Wanderers had two tries from Tom Richards and a conversion from Tom Francis.
Bedwas clinched a valuable 20-14 victory at Beddau to keep them in the top half of the table and see the home side slip to third from bottom. It took five penalties from outside half Lloyd Wilkins to seal the points in a close-fought contest that saw Jack Williams cross at the posts for the opening score to the home side.
Callum Wheeler added the extras and then improved a late try from replacement front row man Lloyd James.
Bargoed clinched an impressive victory on the road with a 36-32 victory over Cardiff Met to go above them into fourth place with a third victory of the season. The power of their pack told as they bagged two penalty tries to go with touchdowns from Steff Jones, who ended with 12 points, Duane Dyer and Lewys Lippiet.
Ethan Morgan bagged 17 points for the students as he scored a try, kicked three conversions and two penalties. The other tries came from Tommy Davies and USA U20 cap Porter Goodrum.
Cross Keys scored an astonishing century of points as they recorded a 100-6 victory over Tata Steel at Pandy Park to see them move to third in the table with a third win of the campaign. The home side ran riot and crossed for a total of 16 tries in a one-sided contest against a Tata Steel side that managed two penalties of their own to make sure it wasn’t a clean sheet.
Cross Keys dominated the clash from the first minute and there were hat-tricks for Mathew Dodridge and Dan Hitchings, with Ben Murphy adding two more. Seven of the 10 conversions came from the boot of Adam Tetley.
