Swansea duo Morgan Morse and Iestyn Hopkins are imposing themselves on their elder peers and are showing no fear when it comes to attacking play.
Both players featured in last year’s Wales U20 squad where their attacking intent proved to be a feature for Byron Hayward’s side.
Back row Morse is still a teenager but he is clearly enjoying getting the ball in hand. He has made four line-breaks this campaign to sit top of the tree in that category alongside Llandovery winger Aaron Warren and Aberavon scrum half Rhodri Cole.
Full-back Hopkins motto is ‘attack is the best form of defence’. He is always eager to counter attack and uses his stunning side-step to get out of tricky situations. Kicking the ball is usually not a concept for the quick-witted footballer. He has already beat 21 defenders this season after just six rounds of action.
Aberavon’s Andrew Waite is Hopkins’ nearest challenger with 17 defenders beaten while Hopkins’ Swansea and Wales U20 teammate Harri Houston has beaten 14 defenders.
