Ex-Dragons scrum half Dan Babos was on the score sheet for Pontypool

Pontypool warmed-up for the semi-final with a 93-3 home win over Tata Steel. Having beaten the bottom side 62-0 away from home the previous weekend, they piled on the agony with 15 tries.

Four of them went to Amosa Nove, while Matthew Powell helped himself to a hat-trick, Deon Smith and Matt Powell both crossed twice and there were other tries from Dai Jones, Dan Babos, Ieuan Jones and Dai Langdon.

Cardiff Met picked up five points from their 41-26 home win over Bedwas, who also picked up a try bonus-point. Lloyd Wilkins, Ben Sier, Lewis Crane and Dale Rogers grabbed the tries for the visitors and James Dixon added three conversions.

The students sped into a 31-12 interval lead thanks to tries from Osian Hill, Cai Davies, Josh Carrington and Ben Parsons and four conversions and a penalty from Hill. In the second half they added further tries from Zak Roberts and Ali Stacey.

Neath did just enough to pick up a bonus-point at home against Trebanos, winning 28-0. They were leading 21-0 at the break thanks to tries from Macauley Griffiths and Jon Bayliss, both of which were converted by Steff Williams.

They were also awarded a first half penalty try and then led 28-0 when Williams crossed for the fourth try, which he also converted.
Third placed Bargoed were 50-6 winners at Maesteg Celtic, while Narberth also triumphed on the road, winning 40-20 at Beddau. Glamorgan Wanderers were beaten 17-15 at Ystalyfera.
