The Pontypool playmaker has racked up 61 points in the Prem, but is only eight points ahead of Lloyd who himself has new Pontypridd recruit Josh Phillips breathing down his neck in third place with 49 points. Young Cardiff No 10 is also close behind with 47 points.
There has been some pretty impressive free flowing rugby displayed by teams as they make most of the firm footing before winter sets in. RGC and Swansea may be at the wrong end of the table but if they keep spreading the ball wide it shouldn’t be long before they start moving up the table. RGC’s Dafydd Williams and Matthew Jenkins have scored four tries apiece and along with Cardiff’s Alun Rees and Newport speedster Lloyd Lewis, they lead the way on the try scoring front.
Pooler’s Huw Anderson and Aberavon’s Frankie Jones continue to hustle and bustle in attack, both have made five clear line-breaks while Llandovery’s Harry Doel (18) has beaten more defenders than any other player in the league.
