One of three players from the Whitchurch HS side included in the first Baa-Baas age grade side, the talented teenager, who is a pupil at the Cathedral School, Llandaff, ploughed over in the fourth minute to open the scoring in a thrilling match eventually won by Rugby School 38-33.

The 131kg loose head played the full 70 minutes and was voted player of the match. Accompanying him from Whitchurch HS, who finished fifth in the WSC Rugby Conference A table this season were school captain Iestyn Hutchings at centre and flanker Theo Lewis.
