Tries from Angharad Jones, Sophie Moore, Lauren Smyth, Lily Roberts and Natalie Murphy were enough for Bony as they raced into a 29-12 lead after an hour of intense play.
But they needed a late penalty from Roberts in the 76th minute to ensure victory after a spirited Haverfordwest comeback. Second half tries from Megan Jones and Jodie Williams for the Pembrokeshire side made it a nervy ending for the Bony supporters.
Despite their late rally, Haverfordwest weren’t able to take more silverware home with them this time.
An early opportunity for Bonymaen came through scrum half Moore, who quickly took a penalty and broke into the Haverfordwest 22. She was tackled by fullback Rhian Swift and was turned over by blindside flanker Williams.
It was more quick thinking from Moore that got her side the first try of the match as a second quick tap and pass to Angharad Jones saw the centre score from short range in the 10th minute.
A quick response came from Haverfordwest with their first opportunity inside the Bonymaen 22. Hooker Ridge crossed from a couple of metres out after several forward carries, and scrum half Elin Williams added the conversion to give her side the lead after 15 minutes.
Haverfordwest picked up their second try through No8 Lawrence, who picked and went from the base of the scrum and beat three defenders from five meters out to score in the corner.
Haverfordwest were reduced to 14 players for 10 minutes after loosehead prop Fleur Munday pulled the hair of Bonymaen No8 Tili Hopkins according to referee Jess Kavanagh.
Bonymaen took full advantage of their player advantage and applied pressure as Moore sniped through from close range for their second try of the final.
They picked up a second try during the yellow card period in the 35th minute with replacement outside half Lauren Smyth producing an excellent dummy to break through the Haverfordwest defence and run in unopposed to score.
A second yellow card for Haverfordwest came before half-time as blindside flanker Williams was sent to the sin-bin following multiple infringements for offside.
Bonymaen would have extended their 19-12 interval lead had second row Amy Thomas not dropped the ball over the line in the 47th minute with Williams still off the field.
They did extend their lead in the 51st minute as outside half Lily Roberts, now on the wing, stepped inside to beat the final defender to score in the corner after a miss pass from Smyth.
Replacement Natalie Murphy spun over and scored a fifth try to further extend the lead on the hour mark, giving her side a 17-point advantage despite the conversion drifting wide.
Moments later, though, Bonymaen replacement Demi Stevens was shown a yellow card by referee Kavanagh after a high tackle on scrum half Williams.
Haverfordwest capitalised through outside half Megan Davies, who broke through the defence to score her side’s third try which she converted to narrow the gap to 10 points with 11 minutes to go.
A fourth try came three minutes later as flanker Williams scored after taking a tap and go from close range, with the conversion from Williams giving Haverfordwest hope in the final eight minutes.
However, a penalty following a breakdown infringement tight head prop Emma Busch proved costly as Roberts kicked a penalty in the final five minutes. That meant Haverfordwest needed a late try to win the final.
A late chance did arrive through a rolling maul but Bony defended well in the game’s final moments to hold out and win.
