Wales wing Lisa will be first up in the vital international against Italy at 12.15pm before Jana hopes to come off the bench to help Haverfordwest win again at the home of Welsh rugby in the WRU National Women’s Plate final at 5.15pm. Last year Haverfordwest beat Clwb Rygbi Cymry Caerdydd in the National Bowl final.
It will be a full day of celebration for women’s rugby in Wales with the final day of a special ‘Women in Sport’ conference coming to an end ahead of the Six Nations match. Wales go into the game against the Italians looking for a first win in this year’s Championship, with Lisa Neumann recalled on the wing.
After that there will be three women’s cup finals that will complete an amazing sequence of 33 cup finals over 11 days of wonderful action.
Llandaff North will be making their third successive appearance in the cup final when they take on Seven Sisters, who will be seeking to match the achievement of their male counterparts, who won the Division 5 Cup final earlier in the month.
Haverfordwest skipper Emma Summons will be missing from the action with her side as she is pregnant. She normally plays at scrum half, a position in which both her father and brother played for the club but will instead be a part of the coaching team with her mother as team manager.
