Second-from-bottom Senghenydd were hit with 17 tries by Cwmbran in the biggest victory of the day; they smashed their guests 107-5 in a massive win which keeps them third as wing Ian Bradfield bagged four tries and flanker Gavin Teague ran in a hat-trick.
Winger Keri Young got a brace as Pontypool Utd turned around a 5-7 half-time deficit to see off Rhymney 18-10. Abercarn moved closer to a first win of the season with a brave performance despite a 21-33 defeat at the hands of fourth-placed Blaina.
Anthony Billings was the difference as Talywain plunged Trinant further into relegation misery with a narrow 14-11 defeat in ASDA League Four East. Daniel Horsman scored a try for the hosts while Scott Evans replied for the visitors before Billings out-kicked rival Ryan Jones with three penalties to two.
Jason Evans scored all the points as Risca fought out a 10-10 stalemate with visiting Llandaff North. Fullback Evans bagged a try, conversion and penalty while Matthew Davies crossed for Llandaff North and Chris Burke kicked a conversion and a penalty.
Abertillery BG stay top of ASDA League Five East thanks to a 3-14 win at Usk who slip to fourth. Second-placed Chepstow remain within three points of the leaders after they ran out convincing 0-57 winners at luckless RTB Ebbw Vale. Gwernyfed moved into third place after a 7-45 win at Llanhilleth.
