Wales and Ospreys centre Henson injured ligaments in his left ankle during the Welsh region’s shock Heineken Cup quarter-final 19-10 defeat to Saracens on Sunday.
Henson, 26, limped off midway through the second half at Vicarage Road and his injury is another blow to underfire Coach Lyn Jones following their exit from Europe.
Ospreys Director of Rugby Kevin Hopkins said: “Gavin has slight ligament damage and will undergo treatment this week. We’re hopeful he will be available but it’s a question of seeing how he responds and then making a decision.”
Henson could join fellow backs Mike Phillips (knee) and Nikki Walker (ankle) on the sidelines as they bid to salvage their season at Twickenham.
