The Neath scrum half sustained a neck injury in the Principality Premiership game with Cardiff on April 20 and after in period at the University of Wales hospital, passed away on June 16 leaving a wife and young family who will benefit from the event.
The fundraising day commences at 11am, with a six-a-side cricket tournament involving teams from Pontypridd RFC, Neath RFC, Beddau RFC, Glyncoch RFC, Bedwas RFC and Hopkinstown CC.
There will also be a barbeque and disco, with plenty of fun for the kids in the form of a bouncy castle. Further entertainment will be provided by live music act “Legacy”.
During the course of the day, there will be an auction and a raffle to raise more funds for Snid’s family, with some valuable rugby memorabilia having been donated to the event.
