“We need to build on the confidence gained from our win against the Ospreys and make it a Christmas double at home, said the Dragons Head Coach.
“The Blues rested a lot of players when they played the Scarlets because of their huge strength in depth but they will realise that they need to be moving up the Magners League.”
Paul added: “I am looking forward to the crowd getting behind the team on Boxing Day at Rodney Parade. The players and I thought that they were superb on Friday and we were pleased to reward them with a win for their loyalty this season.”
The Dragons still have a limited amount of tickets available for the derby clash which is set for a sell out. Chief Executive Gethin Jenkins urges fans to get their tickets in advance to avoid disappointment at Christmas. He said:
“We are expecting this season’s record crowd at Rodney Parade on Boxing Day and it is important that fans get their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment especially after the Dragons were boosted by the victory over the Ospreys last weekend.”
“There are a limited number of tickets available at the moment and I urge fans to contact the ticket office before Christmas to avoid the queues on Boxing Day which is traditionally a thrilling rugby occasion in Wales.”
The Dragons Chief Executive has arranged a festive programme of entertainment for the fans at Rodney Parade this Boxing Day. He added:
“With our sponsors Motorpoint we are offering the chance for one lucky supporter to win a car on the pitch at half time and we have a spectacular pre-match performance from Official Harpist to His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, Claire Jones.”
