The young Scarlet, who starts on the bench for Wales, declared: “There is no hiding away from them. We have to front up and get on with it.”
He said that despite being a reserve he will be 110 per cent behind the starting XV when the whistle goes.
Knoyle said: “For me personally whoever is in the starting line up you want to give them 110 per cent support. You want your country to do well and that is the number one priority.
“We’ve been training hard all week looking at areas to attack and we will concentrate on them.”
He said the huge support given to Wales in Wellington when they took on the Springboks helped boost the players.
He said: “There was a lot of support for us in the last game and throughout the week people have been really great.
“It is not only Welsh fans but the local people have been great to us. It is surprising how many people have been stopping us in the street and coming up to the boys to say “well done”. That sort of thing really makes a difference.
“We now feel at home here in New Zealand and so the feeling in the camp is really good. We know how Samoa play the game but we are well prepared and determined to concentrate on doing well.”
