There have been some notable new recruits throughout the league meaning the 2018/19 campaign is set to be the most competitive season for a long time.
Cardiff have made some notable signings with former Wales international scrum half Martyn Roberts the headline signing at the Arms Park. Roberts will be joined by former Ospreys and Scarlets No 8 Morgan Allen, and ex Dragons outside half Steffan Jones.
Prolific try scoring winger Matthew Powell joins from Cross Keys, with full back Jack Evans moving from Llandovery. Aberavon have made eight new signings for the upcoming campaign. In comes props Nicky Boyce and Geraint James while second row Rhodri Hughes and loose forwards Ashton Evans and Jac Morgan further strengthen the pack.
The Wizards have also moved to strengthen their back division with scrum half Rhodri Cole, wing Matthew Jenkins and full back Jon Phillips. Big changes are afoot at Carmarthen Quins with former Wales hooker Emyr Phillips being appointed head coach after retiring from playing with the Scarlets.
Bridgend have also been busy in the transfer market having recently announced the signing of back five forward James Little. He will be joined by fellow new recruits Aled Evans, Mathew Donnelly and Stuart Floyd-Ellis.
Going the other way is wing Ryan Griffiths who becomes Swansea’s first signing of the summer.
The marquee signing in north Wales is former Wales under 20’s outside half Billy McBryde from the Scarlets. McBryde will join RGC1404 along with Pwllheli captain Nick Butterworth.
Cross Keys have also made a couple of eye catching signings with former Dragons, Cardiff Blues and Edinburgh outside half Jason Tovey coming on board along with Damien Welch who has represented the Scarlets, Exeter Chiefs and Cardiff Blues.
