RGC head coach Mark Jones has added three players to his squad for their match against Wales next Friday.
Scarlets Academy, Wales Sevens and former Wales U20 pivot Billy McBryde, son of North Walian-born Robin; Llanelli and former Wales U20 and RGC full back Dion Jones and 19 year old lock Sean Lonsdale who came through the RGC pathway and helped them reach the Principality Premiership before spending last season at Exeter Chiefs/ Cornish Pirates have all joined the North Wales Development Region for the week in preparation for the Friday night game.
The trio, who all have strong links to North Wales, will add strength in depth to the National Cup winning side, according to former Scarlets and Wales wing Mark Jones.
He said, “It’s a huge honour for the whole squad to be able to pit ourselves against Wales on our home turf. We want to be as competitive as possible in order to help Wales prepare for their summer tour and these extra players will give us some important strength in depth in key positions, both in training and for the match itself.
“They all have strong links to RGC, either as former players or with family ties in Billy’s case and it’s fantastic to have them on board. It’s an exciting time for North Wales rugby.”
