The 27-year-old former Wales Under 20 cap Allen has joined from the Scarlets, while Hudd has arrived on a full-time basis from the Dragons Academy. He made 10 appearances for Bedwas last season.
“We are excited to sign a player of Morgan’s ability, especially given the number of clubs coveting his signature. It is a statement of intent from the new management team and demonstrates the ambition of the club,” said newly appointed Bedwas head coach Ian Gardner.
Allen spent the past few seasons at the Scarlets, making 27 appearances, having previously appeared 53 times for the Ospreys before that. He played for Carmarthen Quins last season, has had experience at Pontypool and actually made an appearance for Bedwas in the 2008-09 season.
“I’m very much looking forward to working with Ian Gardner and the rest of the coaches at Bedwas. Their and the club’s ambition to win trophies matches my own,” said Allen.
Hudd has already gained a range of experiences playing for fellow Gwent sides Cross Keys and Newport and has racked up 18 games in total at Bedwas. He will now become a fully fledged player at the club from the 2017/18 campaign.
“After playing for Bedwas through the Dragons Academy, it was a natural progression to sign for the club. I know we can build on last season’s performances and be real challengers for the league title,” said Hudd.
