The Gwent side will be in good heart after last week’s victory over Llandovery though they face a Quins side who will pose a tough test at the Park.

Carmarthen themselves are also in good form and Bedwas head coach Steve Law knows his side are in for a tough game.

“We are expecting another hard game but we are focussed and ready to go,” he said.

“We’ve made no secret of our desire to be involved in the final and obviously hope to progress.”

Ross Wardle makes a welcome return to the Bedwas back line after recovering from injury in an otherwise unchanged rearguard. Ethan Davies and Josh Davies return from Wales Under 20 duties to take up places on the bench.

Up front Aaron Harris comes in for Simon Grainger who has done a sterling job leading the team but is unavailable for this game. Phil Rees and James Thomas swap places with Rees starting in the boiler house and Thomas dropping to the replacements bench.

Deri Mattravers takes over the captain’s armband at No. 8.
