The defending, double, champions begin their historic attempt to be the first team to win three consecutive tournament titles against Italy at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday 1st February (14.30hrs), and fans are advised that there are still a few thousand tickets left on general sale for the Championship opener.
After a trip to the Aviva Stadium in Ireland in round two, Wales return to Cardiff to face France on home turf on Friday 21st February (20.00hrs) – and a limited number of single tickets are also available for that game, although it is also at near capacity.
Fans are obviously hoping for a dream climax to the competition after Wales travel to Twickenham on Sunday 8th March, with the final round visit of the Scots already a 74,500 sell-out – likely due to Welsh potential to be the first side to complete the treble outright in the 100-plus year history of the international competition.
“Ticket sales have been extremely strong for the RBS 6 Nations Championship this year, with Wales’ historic assault on the record books obviously at the forefront of fans’ minds,” said WRU group head of sales and marketing, Craig Maxwell.
“For the final round match to sell-out this far in advance of the competition starting shows just how high expectations are and that Wales’ performances in the Autumn and our representation on the British and Irish Lions tour of Australia in the summer have captured the imagination.
“It’s a great thing for a Welsh rugby fan to be able to say we are going for a third consecutive RBS 6 Nations Championship title and tensions will build ahead of that opening game against Italy in the coming weeks.
“The Millennium Stadium currently has some spare capacity for that opening match, and an extremely limited number of tickets available for the Wales versus France clash in the third round, but fans need to act quickly to avoid disappointment.
“The best way to get hold of tickets is to visit a rugby club near you. Welsh rugby has a proud network of some 320 member clubs around Wales and fans who buy tickets from clubs can also do so in the knowledge that their purchase will make a direct and positive impact on that club, and therefore the future of the game in Wales.

“With Warren Gatland’s squad announced tomorrow, Tuesday, and the team meeting up at the WRU National Centre of Excellence to begin training in earnest just next week, the opening round will be with us before we know it.
