The victory was marred by a serious injury which delayed the game by 50 minutes, but a flurry of tries and 13 points from the boot of outside half Josh Prosser earned the table-toppers a comfortable 43-13 win.

Glynneath managed one Tom Jones try in reply, but were no match for the Championship’s form side.
Merthyr followed up their impressive win over Swansea last week with an away victory at Tata Steel. The 39-15 win included five tries and earned them a valuable bonus point.

Owen Morgan ran in two tries and outside half Steve Lang kicked six goals for 15 points as the Merthyr backs ran riot at Groes Field.

RGC 1404 made the long trek trip from North Wales to the Welsh capita and left with two bonus points. But having led by a single point at the break, they ended up losing 28-27 to the students of Cardiff Met in the end.

The North Walians lost largely due to their own indiscipline and the unerring boot of Owen Thomas, who kicked six penalties for the students.

Bridgend Athletic overcame Newbridge 25-20 in scrappy affair at The Newbridge Fields. The visitors were awarded a penalty try in the first half as they went in search of their first success of the season, but they were pegged back by six Josh White penalties as the home ran out victors.

A virtuoso display from outside half Scott Turner helped Blackwood thrash Tondu 41-17. Blackwood bounced back after last week’s defeat at Bridgend and had five tries to show for their efforts, while Tondu managed one in reply through Matthew Morgan.

Narberth were winners over struggling Llanharan in a low-scoring affair. Goalkicker Ianto Griffiths proved to be the difference as Narberth notched a much-needed 16-8 home win. Joe Jones saw red for the visitors early in the second half for a professional foul.
