The Fijian-born Italy international has won plaudits since joining the BT Sport Arms Park side from Treviso in the summer and will return to face Rovigo on Sunday.
He starred in the Blues’ 37-14 home triumph against Grenoble on the weekend, and is relishing his chance to get one over on his adopted countrymen.
He said: “We were very happy to get a win under our belt at the Arms Park and give something back to the fans.
“Hopefully we can keep this going. The road has been difficult for us lately but it’s good that things have finally come together and we want to keep it going in this direction.”
“Rovigo is a rugby-orientated town. In Italy, it’s either Rovigo, Padua or Treviso. But Rovigo is just rugby. There is nothing else there.”
The Italian part-timers were thumped 70-14 by London Irish at the Madjeski Stadium on Sunday. They conceded ten tries but showed their spirit by rumbling over for two drive-over scores.
And the no.8 reckons they will be a different animal at their Stadio Mario Battaglini home, where the Blues kick-off their second round match at 15:00.
He said: “They are very patriotic and passionate about rugby. It’s going to be a really tough game. They are very aggressive and they are going to be really physical and coming at us full tilt.
“Italian teams at home are always a different side. We expect it to be a really hard game. It’s not going to be easy.
“But the guys are going to be really pumped and positive coming off the weekend. We want to go out there and continue what we started against Grenoble.”
