It was an encouraging first half for the Ravens, as they went in trailing by just two points after a spirited first half, but the Drovers comprehensively blew them away in the second half in a devastating display.
The Drovers were off to a fast start as Wyn Jones scored their first try under the posts after six minutes. James Garland converted.
Bridgend got on the score sheet with a penalty from James Dixon as they worked their way into the game.
Richard Williams got the visitors second try of the match, this time Garland missed the conversion.
Mike Powell scored Bridgend’s only try of the match with five minutes left of the first half. The winger gathered a loose ball and set off. Powell chipped the final defender and was able to gather and touch down out wide. Dixon landed a neat conversion to get the Ravens to within two points.
Garland and Dixon traded penalties as the half time whistle approached. With the clock in the red Bridgend launched a counterattack as a deep turnover was kicked long by Powell. A strong chase saw the Ravens come close but the Drovers secured the ball and cleared to end the half.
The Drovers ran riot in the second half, scoring five tries with none in reply from the Ravens.
Richard Williams, Rhys Williams, Matt Jacobs, Phil Day and Lawrence Reynolds all went over for the Drovers as two second half yellow cards for the Ravens’ Waite and Hicks meant the home side struggled to keep up with Llandovery.
