Caerleon are one of the leading lights in the East this season and have only lost only once in Division 3 East A, where they currently lead fellow quarter-finalists Ynysddu by a clear 12 points at the top of the table.
But their hosts have enjoyed an even better league campaign to date and are unbeaten in their 14 league outings in Division 3 West Central C. That has kept them well in touch with top of the table Morrison, who lead the race for promotion by 11 points having played two games more.
Cwmavon are unbeaten in 10 league games in Division 3 West Central B, with nine wins and a draw, and will fancy their chances of going further in the competition despite a tough away trip to Ynysddu.
Cambrian Welfare, currently fourth in Division 3 East Central B having lost only twice in 13 games, host Ynysowen, while Nantyffyllon, who are second in Division 3 West Central A having been beaten only twice in 15 games, travel to Oakdale.
