Pontypridd completed the league double over Aberavon last season, with scores of 17-35 (away) and 33-14 (home).
For the second week running Ponty will be engaged in a ‘first against second’ fixture in the Premiership.
Pontypridd and Aberavon are now the only teams with a 100% record intact in the league, each with five wins out of five. Pontypridd lead the table four bonus points clear of Aberavon.
After beating previous second place holders Llandovery last week with a score of 34-16, Pontypridd remain at the top of the table, ready to fight off the challenge of an in form Aberavon.
Last weekend the Wizards hosted Newport and were victorious with a 26-24 triumph.
Pontypridd make four changes to the team that started against Llandovery, with Alex Webber coming in on the wing, Jarrod Evans at fly half, Chris Phillips at tight head prop and a fit again Rhys Shellard on the flank. Absent on domestic leave are centres Gavin Dacey and Gary Williams and flanker Wayne O’Connor.
