Having built up a 24-0 interval lead they went on to pick up a try bonus point to set-up a great weekend for the region. Adam Jones, Luc Jones opened the try scoring and then the Dragons, with first use of the strong wind and driving rain, were awarded a penalty try.

Wales Under 20 outside half Angus O’Brien converted all three scores and kicked a penalty to make it 24-0 at the break. Connacht finally got on the board when Conor McKeon kicked a penalty, but another O’Brien penalty was followed by the bonus point try from Elliot Frewen which O’Brien also converted.

The Cardiff Blues Regional Premiership XV drew 20-20 at home with Nottingham having led 17-0 at half-time, while the Ospreys Regional Premiership XV went down 32-10 at Leeds Carnegie. The Scarlets Regional Premiership XV were beaten 35-6 at Carmarthen Park by Bedford Blues.
